ObjectionAny new replacements should strive to replicate the original door and windows and not slavishly copy the inappropriate replacements.; The door would originally have been either a six solid panel door or a four panel solid door.; The windows should be sliding sash uPVC and not casement 'lookalikes' and we refer to a recent application in High Street, Port St Mary where casement type windows were refused.; The proposed all glazed door with internal divisions should not be entertained at any cost.; It is important to maintain the standard that has now been set in relation to Conservation Areas.
Isle of Man Victorian Society
Conditional No ObjectionWe are pleased to note the change in design of the door and give our support to that part of the application.; We would still like to see the windows (only two small windows) replaced with sliding sash window rather than perpetuating the incongruous that are there at present.
