The comment stated; The application form states that the doors are to be 'as near like for like as possible' but on the quote submitted with the application is a note that the front door is to be 'brown mahogany' which is not mentioned elsewhere. Traditional doors were made from softwood and painted, often white, red or green. Expensive imported hardwood doors would not be found on properties of this nature. The use of imitation mahogany with or without wood grain should not be permitted in this instance.
