REF: 18/00627/13 Ballacloan School Demesne Road DOUGLAS Temporary Car Park for use by Department of Health
I have been a resident in Demesne Road DOUGLAS for 40 years and have seen the commercial end of Demesne Road change from commercial to a much more reduced and acceptable form of business such as Nursery School, and the New Henry Bloom Noble School, Hair Dressers and Ladies Gym.
I cannot imagine the Department of Health has much use for parking cars in the playground of Ballacloan School because it already has parking in the Crookall House Car Park, so it must be for the storage of Plan Hire and Machinery, the state of the roads in and around Demesne Road are terrible, there are no road markings and have not been for 4 years as residents we phone and ask why, but nothing happens. Parking is difficult for residents.
Security for any vehicles parked in the school yard would be impossible, as it is children climb onto the roof of the school, we phone the police as we are concerned for their safety but they don't come.
Why does one department try to get planning for residential buildings and another for parking of Plant Hire and Machinery, I OBJECT TO THIS PLANNING APPLICATION ON THE GROUNDS THAT DEMESNE ROAD IS PRIMARILY RESIDENTIAL AND UNFIT FOR THE USE INTENDED.
