Ian Brooks served as a planning officer who handled 2,376 planning applications over a 16-year career (2000–2015). Their most active parishes were Douglas (1,704), Braddan (91), Lezayre (70). Of 2,264 decided applications, 1,883 (83%) were approved and 381 (17%) refused. A further 98 were withdrawn before decision. They specialised primarily in alteration, extension, new_build applications. Their busiest year was 2007 with 427 decisions.
