with a Dark Grey finish. Existing Felt Flat Roof Covering to be stripped off
and new Alwitra Single Ply Membrane with a Dark Grey finish.
Existing Wall Capping / Parapet to be raised by 150mm to give better
upstand where the existing ridge intersects with the wall. New Alwitra
Single Ply Membrane finished in Dark Grey to be dressed up the inside of
the parapet wall, over the top of the wall then dress down in face of the
wall terminating at the existing mould.
Existing disused Chimney Stacks to be taken down the height of the
parapet level and proposed Alwitra Single Ply Membrane taken over to

Parapet height and slate roof
amended to flat roof
Planning Application 22/00346/B granted approved to increase parapet
height, introduce Alwitra Single Ply capping and replace inverse
pitched slate roof, which is below the parapet line.
Upon further inspection, where more of the roof was exposed, the
suggested way of replacement is going to be un compliant to current
standards and will eventually lead to the same issues currently trying to
be resolved (the inverse slope into a valley gutter leading to ingress of
water). It is now the intention to remove the inverse slate roof and
replace it with a flat roof with the same Alwitra Single Ply (RAL 7035 Light
Grey) that has been previously approved. Including the lifting of the
Parapet as intended.
From a Street Scene perspective there will be no change to the
buildings appearance, but the change in roof and removal of the
redundant chimney stack will prolong the life of the the building.
