The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:

The provision of a bicycle store is welcomed. · 22/01542/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. The provision of a bicycle store is welcomed as long as it is easily reach which is unclear on the plans. · 22/01544/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. · 22/01567/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. Under the IOM Strategic Plan car parking standards the car parking amounts required for the proposed leisure use are similar to the extant use for retail car sales where most cars were parked within the premises. This would be unavailable on change of use. Notwithstanding, it is noted that there is nearby off-street and on-street parking available under controls nearby with agreement reached to use the off-street provision, if necessary, such as at the offices of the Onchan Commissioners. The Applicant is advised to consider the provision of cycle parking.
