In the instance of the submitted 4700 Lift Plans and Elevations and after consultation with the case officer, who are happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient and would be considered satisfactory for planning condition 2 of application 22/00328/CON with the understanding that the lift and enclosure shall be installed in accordance with the approved details.

Officer’s Report
1.0 Description
1.1 The proposed application 22/00328/CON was approved on 17.05.2022 for the registered Building Consent for internal alterations, structural alterations to kitchen and wash house, and installation of a platform lift, RB1 subject to 5 conditions some of which required submission of additional information prior to the commencement of works.
1.2 This report is specific to Condition 2 which the applicants are seeking to satisfy.
1.3 Specific wording of the condition as follows:
No works in connection with the installation of the platform lift shall commence unless details of the finishes of the lift and enclosure are submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. Thereafter the lift and enclosure shall be installed in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: To ensure that the building's special character and interest are preserved.

2.0 Proposal
2.1 The applicant's agent has submitted 4700 Lift Plans and Elevations, which consists of a plan showing the finishes for the lift and its enclosure which include details of the tiled flooring, colour and finishes within the lift and colour and finishes of the lift shaft.
3.0 Recommendation
3.1 In the instance of the submitted 4700 Lift Plans and Elevations and after consultation with the case officer, who are happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient and would be considered satisfactory for planning condition 2 of application 22/00328/CON with the understanding that the lift and enclosure shall be installed in accordance with the approved details.

I can confirm that this decision has been made by a Principal Planner in accordance with the authority afforded to that Officer by the appropriate DEFA Delegation and that in making this decision the Officer has agreed the recommendation in relation to who should be afforded Interested Person Status.
