Officer’s Report
Description 1.1 The proposed application was for the "Erection of agricultural building to replace existing" which was determined under delegated authority on the 30th August 2025.
1.2 As such the following condition was attached that required information prior to the commencement of works on site;
o C5. No development shall commence until a sample of all non-insulated cladding materials to be used has been provided and approved in writing by the Department. The approved sample(s) shall be kept on site for reference until the development is completed. The development shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the rural surrounding area.
o C6. The roof must be finished in a dark grey colour and the walls, doors and shutters, in a dark green colour which has first been approved in writing by the Department and retained as such thereafter.
Reason: To ensure a suitable colour finish to the proposed agricultural building to reflect its use in the countryside.

25/10125/AIR 1.3 This report is specific to Condition 5 and 6, which the applicants are seeking to discharge.
Proposal 2.1 The applicant's have now submitted samples of the colours to be used that notes Plastisol Merlin Grey for the roof and Plastisol Juniper Green for the walls supplied by "Hornsey Steel Panels and Sections Ltd".
2.2 The applicants have confirmed by email dated 10/10/25 that the cladding sheets to the walls and roof; "I can confirm that it will be entirely clad in standard single skin, non- insulated, plastisol coated 32/1000 Box Profile which would be expected on an Agricultural Building of this nature. Consultation 3.1 The case officer has reviewed the above submitted materials, which would be adequate to address the requirement for samples, colours and materials to ensure the building is built in a rural location is appropriate and in accordance with condition 5 and 6.
Recommendation 4.1 In this instance the submitted samples and colours are deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome as recommended by the case officer and would be satisfactory to discharge the planning conditions 5, 6 of this planning application.
