Conditional No ObjectionThe replacement of the timber fence with a rendered wall enhances the area.; As a suggestion to overcome the inappropriate design can we suggest an amendment whereby two 18 inch pillars are built either side of the gate on the line of the original wall. A single block wall can then be built either side of the pillars set central on the pillars and running to the left and the right. The pillars should be carried up above the height of the gates to the height of the trellis and have a coping.; By this method only a 4 inch wall is needed rather than a 9 inch but the pillar will strengthen the otherwise ‘flying’ ends of the 9 inch walls.
