Conditional No ObjectionOrchids are species that are protected by the Wildlife Act. Also the whole of this area is within the Nature Conservation Zone (South Barrule Uplands) as identified in the 1991 Southern Sector Plan.; A return to a heathland habitat would be beneficial for wildlife within the Nature Conservation Zone.
Conditions requested: nature of the inert fill should be very clearly stated; if there is any likelihood that material which could produce either nutrient enrichment or calcareous runoff into the mire area should be avoided by suitable drainage protection measures; before the site is in-filled a check should be made on the existing rubbish material that there are no toxic or damaging material already in the site; applicant should be reminded about the regulations regarding the spread of Japanese Knotweed and should take the necessary precautions when transporting topsoil in case it is contaminated; applicant should clarify the nature of the final capping material; area be re-seeded and returned to agriculture, or restored as interesting habitat or planted with trees and shrubs

Conditions requested: The location of the proposed inert landfill site, in Field No.434711 is positioned at least 9 meters away from the outside conductors of the 11kV overhead line.; The overhead line is undergrounded away from the proposed site, at no cost to the MEA, and all appropriate wayleaves are obtained.; applicant must contact the Authority; Contact the M.E.A. for Electrical Site Safety 5 documents; All work to be carried out with reference to Health and Safety Executive Guidance Notes HS(G)47 & GS6
