The site represents the curtilage of Woodside House, Tromode Business Park, Tromode, which is a large two/three storey detached property, located on the northern side of Ballafletcher Farm Road, north of the Vehicle Test Centre.

The property has been zoned under The Braddan Local Plan as being within an area of "Predominately Industrial Use"; the site is neither within a Conservation Area nor within an area of High Landscape Value or Costal Value and Scenic Significance.

There are no previous planning applications which are considered relevant in the assessment and determination of this application.
Proposal
The application seeks approval for the enlargement of existing window. The proposal would result in a window with a height of 3.1 metres and a width of 3.2 metres.

Assessment / recommendation
The proposal is a very minor alteration which would have no adverse impact upon the visual appearance of the property or that of the street scene. For these reasons the proposal would be appropriate in this location and therefore the application is recommended is for an approval.
