Premises - Wren Cottage, Main Road, Sulby, Isle of Man. IM7 2HP. Retrospective Planning Application for the erection of a timber garden shed.
- The purpose use of the garden shed is for storage of miscellaneous garden items, bicycles and other household effects that are unable to be stored within the premises known as Wren Cottage. The garden shed is of a bespoke handmade design with an oak timber frame, clad with timber together with a Mansard roof finished in grey fibre glass. (See attached photographs).
$>$ The external dimensions are $3.45 \mathrm{~m} \times 2.45 \mathrm{~m}=8.45 \mathrm{~m} 2$. $>$ The external vertical height is 2.83 m .
- Wren Cottage itself has very limited internal storage areas, it does not have a loft space within its completed build.
Note - the maximum roof height of the premises had to be reduced as part of the planning application process (PA 19/00087/B) and final approval granted by the Planning Department. The reduction of the roof height subsequently removed an internal ceiling area that was available for a loft space to be constructed for storage purposes.
- The garden shed is not visible from the main entrance to Wren Cottage from Main Road, Sulby (see attached photographs), additionally it is not entirely visible along the private driveway entrance to Wren Cottage when accessing from Main Road, Sulby.
- The next door neighbour is screening the end wall in close proximity to the garden shed as part of the ongoing new building works adjacent to the Old School House, Main Road, Sulby.
- The new building works ( 2 storey dwelling) that will be adjacent to the Old School House, Main Road, Sulby will totally screen the garden shed from the Sulby School aspect view.
- I understand that planning permission (PA 21/01058/B) has recently been granted for a 2 bay cart lodge in the grounds of the new building works adjacent to the Old School House, Main Road, Sulby. The cart lodge will totally screen the garden shed looking from the Sulby School aspect view.
- Mature trees surround land to the west of the garden shed that will seasonally provide additional screening to the garden shed looking from the Sulby School aspect view.
