Officer's Report

The proposal is for the erection of an equipment cabin and a dish antenna to the existing mast. The proposal work is to allow the switchover from the analogue television signal to the digital television signal to occur. The proposed works to the mast are relatively minor and will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the locality. The cabin will be colour coated green and will be located next to the mast. It is considered the cabin will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the area. I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.

C 1.

The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2.

This permission relates to the erection of an equipment cabin and the installation of an dish antenna as shown in drawing numbers 16636_00_04-808_01, 16636_50_160_M09_09, 16636_50_150_M09_09, 16636_50_100_M09_09 date stamped 23rd June 2008, Written Statement in support of the Application prepared by National Grid Wireless dated June 2008.

C 3.

In the event of the equipment cabin and dish antenna erected under this approval becomes redundant it must be taken down and removed from the site within 3 months of the cessation of use.

C 4.

Within one month of the installation of the equipment cabin hereby approved, it shall be colour coated green. Any replacement or modification shall be colour coated to match within one month of it being carried out.
