Lonan Parish Refusal Recommendation
From Lonan Parish Commissioners Decision on Planning Applications Submitted
Date 28th May 2008
The Secretary to the Planning Committee, DOLGATE, Murray House, Mount Havelock, Douglas, Isle of Man.
Dear Sir
Re: Planning Application No 08/00896/R Address - Failte, Clay Head Road, Baldrine, IM4 6DN. For the retrospective application for alterations and extensions.
Dear Sirs,
Further to a meeting of Lonan Parish Commissioners the Board has asked me to inform you that they recommend refusal of the above Planning Application.
Grounds for Refusal:
The Board examined both the original application and the retrospective one and took the view that the owner should have realised that, given the size of alterations, a planning amendment should have been applied for in respect of them at the time of the original application or immediately subsequent to it. The Board consistently resists retrospective planning applications of this type and therefore recommends that the application should be refused.
Yours faithfully
Mr P. Hill, Clerk to the Board of Lonan Parish Commissioners.
