Dear Sirs,
Planning Applications
- PA 08/01027/B – Erection of extension, Foxrock 4 Manor Park, Onchan.
- PA 08/01030/B – Erection of front porch and rear conservatory, 7 Scarlett Close, Castletown.
- PA 08/01031/B – Alterations and erection of extensions, Denefield 4 Ballacriy Park Colby, Arbory.
- PA 08/01047/B – Erection of a replacement garage and driveway alterations, Brook Villa Main Road, Ballaugh.
The Drainage Division of the Department of Transport has assessed the above planning application and would like to submit the following comments to your Planning Committee.
No Objection subject to the following conditions:
There must be NO discharge of surface water (including that from roofs and paved areas) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the requirements of the Department of Transport Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999.
The application states that the surface water from the proposed development is to be discharged to the "existing drainage". If this "existing drainage" discharges (directly or indirectly) to the foul sewerage system then it should be noted that an alternative means of surface water disposal must be provided.
- PA 08/01056/B – Erection of detached garage and extension to driveway, 2 Croit Ny Kenzie, Andreas.
There must be NO discharge of surface water (including that from roofs and paved areas) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the requirements of the Department of Transport Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999.
Cont:
It is noted that the surface water from the property is to be discharged via a soakaway. The use of soakaways are subject to Building Control approval and if this approval is not granted, the Drainage Division would not give permission for the discharge of surface water into the existing foul system and an alternative means of disposal would have to be sought.
In the event that these application are approved I should be grateful if these comments could be incorporated in the approval notices.
Yours faithfully, John Kneen Development Control Technician.
