The below application has also been given consideration by the Council and although the Council is not raising an objection against the application we would kindly ask that any approval granted should be conditional upon compliance with the guidance published by the Institute of Lighting Professionals Lighting Guidance 05 (The Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements). The Council would also kindly suggest that an Environmental Lighting Impact Assessment is carried out in accordance with the Institute’s guidance on the subject contained in Professional Lighting Guidance 04;
As the signage will face onto a busy section of the highway we would also welcome comments from the Highway’s Services Division specific to the impact the signage may have on road safety.
