• To return the premises to a food outlet - premises was originally a bakery
• To open a high quality open-plan coffee shop, serving hot & cold drinks, selling home cooked food/cakes/desserts/salads, with the emphasis on healthy and nutritional food
• Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.0 am to 5.30 pm - on occasions, and by pre-arrangement only, opening outside of these hours, to possibly facilitate business/professional meetings; accommodate children's parties/Mothering Sunday etc; T.T. & Grand Prix fortnights.
• To cater for customers choosing to eat off premises
• There will be no deep-fat frying
• There will be no alcohol on sale, although this is something that, in the future, may be looked into
• No unwanted fumes
• Installation of a professional stainless steel kitchen - comprising of:
• 1 Industrial stainless steel double oven with hob
• 1 x Professional coffee/tea machine
• 1 x filter coffee machine
• 1 stainless steel basin for food preparation, with hot & cold water supply
• 1 stainless steel hand basins, plus anti-septic hand gel, for hand washing, with hot & cold water supply
• 1 x Stainless steel dishwasher
• 1 x Soup tureens
• Durable wall material for the kitchen area
• 1 x Chill cabinet for storing drinks
• 1 x freezer - stainless steel if possible
• 2 x fridges - stainless steel if possible
• 2 x Stainless steel industrial food mixers
• 1 x Microwave
• 1 x water boiler, which will be connected to main water supply
• Installing stainless steel work surfaces that will be impervious to absorption of grease/fat/oil/liquors & similar substances
• Installing kitchen cupboards that will be constructed & fixed so as to prevent risk of harbourage for vermin/access to adjacent walls & floor surfaces for cleaning purposes; ones that are easily cleaned, as per item above
• Counter - part of which to be low enough for disabled customers
• Tables & chairs for customers
• Fitting of a blind for the main window
• Installation of adequate heating
• Installation of adequate lighting/ceiling fans
• To create a 2nd toilet for customers/staff use - 1 toilet already in-situ - toilets to meet all requirements

We proposed to open a high quality Coffee Shop in Parliament Street, Ramsey. We feel Ramsey would benefit from a food outlet that makes & sells home cooked food/good quality coffee & tea - we believe this is something that Ramsey is lacking.

The premises will be open plan - customers will be able to see what is being prepared and cooked, knowing the area is clean/tidy; that there will be no "hidden surprises".

We do not intend to sell chips or any deep fried foods - there are already cafes/fish & chip shop/Chinese & Indian foods outlets that do this.

We wish to have a take-away salad/sandwich bar - again only selling home cooked food that we hope will be nutritional and healthy to all ages.

Our research (talking to local/business people) has given us the hope & enthusiasm that this venture will work. We feel Ramsey is growing, especially with the new swimming pool being built; the new housing complex just off the Bride Road, and the proposed Marina. Ramsey is also growing in respect to the Financial sector.

We strongly believe we can make this venture work - it will take hard work and time to build up the business, but one which we are more than willing to take on.
