In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Proposal: at:
Victim Support Installation of replacement windows (comprising an amendment to the development approved under 07/01249/B) 6 Albert Street Douglas Isle of Man IM1 2QA which was considered on 4th June 2008, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 12th June 2008 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The proposed windows would be contrary to General Policy 2 and Environment Policy 35 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 in that the windows would result in a mismatch of window styles with the uPVC sliding sash windows approved for the front elevation of the building under Planning Permission 07/01249/B and would affect the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
This decision was made by the Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to her under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
