Officer's Report
The applicants are proposing to erect a fence on the top of their rear boundary wall so as to protect the privacy of their garden. The neighbouring property of Crown Place is set significantly higher in level compared to the application site. The occupants of the neighbouring property are able to overlook the rear garden of the application when using a path running alongside their property. This proposal will not project directly in front of any windows of the neighbouring property. I consider the proposal will have minimal impact on the residential environment of Crown Place.
In terms of the impact on the visual amenities of the locality, the proposed works are set to the rear of the property and will not be readily from public highway. I consider the proposal will not impact on the visual amenities of the locality.
I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
