In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr T Glassey Proposal: Approval in principle to erect a dwelling at: Field 434756 (Formally 660) Ballamodha Straight Ballamodha Ballasalla Isle Of Man
which was considered on 15th February 2008, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 19th February 2008 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The erection of a dwelling on this site would represent an unwarranted development in the Island's countryside and would be contrary to both the land use provisions of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982 and to the provisions of the Island Strategic Plan, in particular to the Strategic Aim, Strategic Policies 1c, 2 and 10, Spatial Policy 5, General Policy 3, Environment Policy 1 and Housing Policy 4.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

The decision contained in this notice does not become final until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
