Officer's Report
Assistant Conservation Officer'S Supplementary Report
This property lies within an established Conservation Area, in accordance with Planning Circular 1/98, it is therefore the preference of the Conservation Section to repair/maintain the original windows to the property in question. Given the current condition of these windows, refurbishment/upgrade is clearly an option. However, given that the intended replacement windows are to match the existing ones, with the addition of double glazing, no objection will be raised.
Given the reasons outlined above, my recommendation with regards to the proposed works is for approval.
Planning Officer'S Report
I concur with the Assistant Conservation Officer. The windows accord with the policies of Planning Circular 1/98. I therefore consider the replacement windows to be acceptable and I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
