Site
The application site is the East Building, Ramsey Grammar School, Lezayre Road, Ramsey. The site is located on the western side of the Lezayre Road.
Land Use Zoning
The dwelling has been zoned under the Ramsey Local Plan Order 1998 as being within schools and other establishments in large grounds (secondary school); the site is not within a Conservation Area.
Proposal
The application proposes re-roofing of existing extension and erection of a new changing room extension on Sports Hall. The existing single storey extension is located on the western side of the existing sports hall. The proposed new extension would extend the existing extension by 4.2 metres. The new and replaced roofing would be composite insulated coated finish metal profile roof to match existing.
Representations
The Manx Electricity Authority makes no comment on the merit of the proposed development but request that an informative note be attached to any approval decision notice.

Disability Access Officer:-
Entrance should be accessible to an unassisted wheelchair user.
All reception counters should contain at least one section suitable for wheelchair users.
Where public toilet facilities are provided this should include the provision of a disabled toilet. If separate staff toilets are provided this should also include provision of a disabled toilet.
A reasonable proportion of changing cubicles should be of more generous proportions to assist ambulant disabled people and a proportion of changing cubicles should be adapted for wheelchair users.
Any student facilities (hairdryers etc.) should be accessible and usable by an unassisted wheelchair user. We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application. Assessment / recommendation
The proposal would have no adverse impact to the detriment of the surrounding properties. For this reason the proposal would be appropriate in this location and therefore I recommend the application be approved.
