Conditions requested: Dimensions and a list of fittings for a disabled toilet can be obtained from the Disability Access office.; The ramp needs to be no steeper than 1in12, width at least 1500mm.; There needs to be a level landing of 1200mm plus the width of the door (if the door comes out towards you) at the entrance door.; If the rise is 300mm or more and the incline of the ramp is 1 in 12 then there should be a respite every metre.; A ramp should not replace steps as some mobility-impaired people rather steps.; Handrails should be fitted to both sides of the ramp and steps.; Nosings on the steps should be highlighted.
