Department Of Local Government And The Environment ### Memorandum TO: Mr Buylla, Acting Senior Planning Officer FROM: Mr Steven Stanley, Planning Officer REF: Compliance with Condition 3 of approved Planning Application 06/02182/B Installation of uPVC sliding sash windows and door to front elevation and uPVC casements to rear (re submission of 06/01540/B) 35 Douglas Street, Peel, Isle of Man DATE: 5th February 2009 To consider the submission of details in accordance with Condition 3 of Planning Permission 06/02182/B, which was granted 10th April 2007. Condition 3 stated: "Prior to the installation of the windows and door, details of the replacement door must be submitted for consideration and approval by the Planning Authority. Condition 3 was attached to control the design of the replacement door. The use of uPVC as a construction material was accepted as this was set out within the description of development and the condition does not require the use of timber. As such it is the design of the door which is to be controlled by condition. The door has been installed and photographs supplied show that the door has two vertical glazed panels with a solid lower section. There is a top light over the door. It is judged that this is similar to the door which was replaced. I consider that the details are acceptable and therefore recommend that the details be approved.
