In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Laxey Village Commissioners Proposal: Installation of street lighting columns along the length of pavement at: The Promenade Laxey Isle of Man
which was considered on 11 January 2007, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This approval relates to drawing no. 21520_1 issue A and lamppost specification date stamped the 15th November 2006.
NOTE Prior to the installation of the lampposts the applicant is recommended to contact the Department of Transport Drainage Division to identify the line of the public sewerage and to establish a safe route for the underground cabling.
This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

You should note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision being made, along with any correspondence relative to the application, is available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
