THIS APPLICATION SEEKS TO VARY CONDITION NO. 1 OF THE CURRENT VALID PLANNING APPROVAL AND TO EXTEND THE DETAILED APPROVAL ON THE SITE FOR A FURTHER FOUR YEARS. THERE HAVE BEEN NO POLICY CHANGES SINCE GRANTING OF APPROVAL FOR P.A.NO17/00006/B. WITH REGARD TO FLOOD RISK, THIS MAY ONLY POSSIBLY OCCUR DURING EXTREME HIGH TIDE CONDITIONS. WE ARE AWARE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE ARE IN THE COURSE OF PREPARING A SCHEME FOR A NEW PROMENADE WALL TO ADDRESS FLOODING CONCERNS ALONG LAXEY PROMENADE DURING EXCEPTIONAL WEATHER CIRCUMSTANCES.
