Officer's Report
Alterations and extensions are proposed at Cronk Airh, Albany Road, Peel, a detached two storey property located at the corner of Albany Road with Tynwald Road. The proposed extension would be two storeys, and constructed in material to match the existing dwelling. The property is located in a prominent position; however it is considered that the extension proposed is acceptable and would not detract from the appearance of the dwelling within the streetscene.
The Department of Transport Highways Division advise of no objection subject to the creation of an additional off street parking space. Access to the property is via side lane with no off street parking directly adjacent to eth property. Parking is currently accommodated within the site in a garage and driveway. Given the access arrangement and lack of off street parking, it is not considered necessary to seek further parking.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
C 2. This approval relates to the plans and information submitted as part of this application and date stamped 25th October 2006.
C 3. The external finishes of the extension must match those of the existing building in all respects.
N 1. The Chief Fire Officer recommends the installation of mains wired interconnected domestic smoke detection.
