The Site
The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing dwelling situated on the southern side of Fairway Drive, accessed from beside the entrance to Rowany Golf Club facilities at the top end of the Promenade.
Planning Status
The site lies within an area designated on the Port Erin Local Plan as Predominantly Residential.
Planning History
The following applications have been submitted in respect of this site:
PA 89/0984 - extension to create sun lounge and porch - permitted
PA 95/1157 - installation of new window in dining area - permitted
The Proposal
Now proposed is the installation of a new window in the western elevation alongside the porch and the installation of another window on the eastern elevation in between two existing windows.
Assessment
The new windows do not introduce overlooking where there is none presently and have no detrimental impact on the appearance of the property.
Party Status
Port Erin Commissioners are a statutory authority and should be afforded party status in this instance.
