Officer's Report
Planning approval is sought for the replacement of existing timber frame sliding sash windows in the front elevation of 15 Market Street, Peel, with upvc sliding sash windows, and the replacement of casement windows to the rear with same. In addition, it is proposed to introduce a roof light to the rear elevation.
The property is located within the Peel Conservation area, and within the immediate area there is a mixture of window materials with the predominate opening style being sliding sash. Subject to a condition that glazing bars be fitted externally and decorative horns also be attached, the proposal is considered to be acceptable.
