Approval In Principle For Erection Of A Dwelling, Ballawhetstone Farm, Ballabeg, Arbory / Malew On Behalf Of Mr & Mrs Steven Maddrell
Mr & Mrs Maddrell’s proposal is on land owned by Mr Maddrell senior being part of the family farm of Ballawhetstone on the outskirts of Ballabeg. The land is directly opposite the main farm yard and currently contains some stables which are used by members of the family and a storage shed. The land is used for grazing.
The topography of the site is such that it is hidden from public viewpoints. Access is preferred via the existing track with the latter’s junction with the main road improved to standards appropriate for its location within a 30 mph limit. An alternative access over the field to the south-west of the site could be considered if this was deemed more appropriate. The lane itself which is wholly owned by the Maddrell family and has no other rights of access across it. Parking and turning are readily available on site. Other services are available nearby.

Mr Steven Maddrell is an agricultural contractor and plant hirer. The size and nature of the land however used is not such as could, on its own, wholly support a family.
