THE APPLICATION SITE AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The application site comprises the curtilage of a detached dwelling that is located in Maughold Village.
The proposed development comprises of the installation of replacement uPVC sliding sash windows in the front elevation and replacement uPVC casement windows in the rear elevation.
PLANNING HISTORY There are no previous planning applications that I consider material to the assessment of this current planning application. REPRESENTATIONS The Society for the Preservation of the Manx Countryside and Environment generally support the proposed development. PLANNING POLICY The application site is within a Conservation Area.
ASSESSMENT
I consider the proposed windows to be unobjectionable and recommend that the planning application be approved.
