General Policy 2
Requires development in accordance with zoning and other policies, provided it does not adversely affect amenity of residents or character of the locality (specifically parts b, c, g). Officer assessed that the doors would not look out of place in the modern section of the mixed-style building, with no unacceptable amenity impacts due to commercial surroundings and distance from residences.
Environment Policy 35
Permits only development in Conservation Areas that preserves or enhances character/appearance and protects special features. Officer found the proposal would have negligible visual impact on the building and preserve the wider Conservation Area character, given its location in a modern part of the structure.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
