The Site
The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing residential property which lies in the central part of Ballanorris Crescent in Friary Park.
Planning Status
The site lies within an area of Residential use on the Arbory and East Rushen Local Plan approved by Tynwald in 1999.
The Proposal
Proposed is the erection of a small porch on the front elevation. This has a pitched roof to match that of the main house albeit with a lower ridge and protrudes 1.5m towards the pavement. There remains 4.5m between the house and the road.
Representations
Arbory Parish Commissioners and Department of Transport Drainage Division raise no objection to the proposal and there are no other views on the file.
Assessment
The porch adds interest to the frontage of this property and the extension has no adverse impact on the enjoyment of any other property.
