In pursuance of their powers under the above Acts and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Isle of Man Local Government Board does hereby APPROVE the application made by you.
Approval in principle, sitting of a farmworkers dwelling, Field 722, Ballachrink Farm, Santon.
which was considered at a meeting held on the 13th April, 1984, subject to the compliance with the conditions or modifications specified on the attached schedule.

Effect of initial decisions
- (1) An initial decision shall not have effect until the time for applying for a review of the decision has expired and, if such an application in duly made, until the review thereof, and any subsequent appeal in respect thereof, has been finally disposed of or until the relevant times for appeal have expired or the relevant appeal has been duly withdrawn.
SCHEDULE OF CONDITIONS Application No. 84/0179
- The building(s) shall not be used for any other purpose than that indicated on the plan or in the application without the consent of the Committee.
- This permission shall be deemed to be an approval in principle for a period of ONE year only and shall not permit any development works prior to the approval of detailed information by the Committee.
- The proposed bungalow must be sited on the floor of the quarry to the west of the proposed site to the satisfaction of the Committee.
- All services including electricity and telephone must be laid underground to the satisfaction of the Committee and arrangements for the supply of such services acceptable to the Committee must be made PRIOR to the commencement of any building works.
- The roof must be slate or a slate-like material to match the existing building/dwelling to the satisfaction of the Committee.
- The access must be designed and constructed to the satisfaction of the Highway Authority and the Committee.
- Provision must be made for the turning of vehicles within the curtilage of the property to enable a vehicle to enter the classified road in a forward direction to the satisfaction of the Highway Authority and the Committee.
- No trees may be felled without the PRIOR permission of the Isle of Man Forestry, Mines & Lands Board and the Committee.
- The proposed bungalow must be tied to the agricultural holding known as Ballachrink and defined on the submitted plans, and must not be sold or let off separately therefrom to the satisfaction of the Committee.
- The occupation of the proposed dwelling(s) must be limited to persons whose employment or latest employment is or was employment in agriculture in the Island and including also the dependants of such persons as aforesaid and such tenancy must be subject at all times to enquiry and approval by the Committee.
