Officer's Report
The site represents the holding of Ballahowin Farm, located on the south eastern side of the A26 Braaid-St. Mark's Road. The site lies within an area of "white land" on the 1982 Development Plan with a strip of Woodland alongside the roadway.
Previously planning permission has been sought for the principle of the farm buildings to tourist accommodation (PA 00/2059), conversion of stone farm buildings to twelve tourist units - 01/02224, erection of agricultural building - 01/02225 and erection of agricultural activity building and farm shop together with livestock pens, access track and car parking - 04/02558; all permitted.
Now proposed, is retrospective permission for the installation of two dormers on the rear elevation. These have almost flat roofs but are neat enough and have no adverse impact. The dormer cheeks are to be finished in render to match the house and with casement windows in the front aperture.
There are no views on file in respect of this application.
