Department of Transport Highways Division
ObjectionThere are insufficient details given of the access, including sightlines, for the proposed road or drive onto the adopted highway, to serve the needs of the development.; In the interests of road safety.
Department of Transport Highways Division
No ObjectionThe visibility described is below standard prescribed in the Department of Transports access to the highway policy which prescribes 120 metres of visibility is required onto a road which the majority of vehicles travel along at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.; These applications will not generate any additional traffic and therefore the use of an existing entrance which provides stopping sight distance for vehicles travelling at 40 mph is acceptable.; The Department of Transport Highway Division withdraw its objections to both these planning applications and our response now is:- No adverse traffic impact.

No ObjectionThus on both zoning and common sense grounds we feel it necessary to OPPOSE this application. It also represents development along the coastline, similarly contrary to Policy.; The Society therefore raises no objection.; In that it involves a considerable degree of restoration, I incline to the former view.
