Ramsey Town Commissioners Response
The Secretary, The Planning Committee, Department of Local Government and the Environment, Murray House, Mount Havelock, Douglas, Isle of Man IM1 2SF.
RECEIVED ON 18 NOV 2005 DEPT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Dear Sir,
Re: P.A. No: 05/02084/C - Relaxation of condition three to approved 03/00495 to include community use of building between 8am - 8pm - Ramsey R.U.F.C. and Community Sports Pavilion, Mooragh Promenade, Ramsey for Ramsey R.U.F.C.
I am directed to advise that the Commissioners considered the above application at their meeting held on Wednesday 16th November, 2005, and whilst they had no objection to the proposal, they made the following observation:-
- Whilst the Commissioners have no objection in principle to the community use of the building during stated hours, a condition should be placed upon any approval that the use of the building and the sale of food and drink should be confined only to specific functions or events. In this way, the Clubhouse may not be used for the sale of food and drink to members of the public as would be the case for a commercial operation.
I trust that this observation will be brought to the attention of the Planning Committee, when considering this application. Yours faithfully,
P. S. Harrison CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
