Officer's Report
The site represents the curtilage of existing offices situated on the eastern side of Bridson Street within an area of Residential use on the Port Erin Local Plan in which the property is annotated as "surgery".
Previously planning permission was sought for:
the conversion of the existing doctor's surgery to office accommodation - permitted (PA 98/0725) extension to the existing offices - permitted (PA 00/0462)
aip for the conversion of the office building and car park into a pair of semi detached dwellings - permitted (PA 04/02496)
This application proposes the full details of that conversion: the application is not one for reserved matters in accordance with the aip although I suspect it should be.
The conditions of approval required nothing other than a footway crossing across the new access, iomwa notes and wheelchair access.
The proposal is the same as that proposed previously in terms of the site plan and the changes necessary to convert the building into two residential units are doors and windows on the front and rear elevations. There are no objections.
