Officer's Report
The site represents the residential curtilage of an existing property which sits on the eastern side of Dandy Hill. The property is a relatively traditional property in amongst a variety of modern and older properties.
Proposed here is the replacement of the windows in the property. The existing windows are a mixture of side and top hung and fixed timber-framed casements which it is proposed to replace with plastic-framed windows with the same opening style.
The property is not within a Conservation Area and has been altered over time such that I do not feel that it is reasonable to require that the windows be sliding sash or even half and half casements.
