Officer's Report

The application is a retrospective application for the installation of two window canopies and shop front sign at 31 North Quay, Douglas, which is an opticians in a Conservation Area.

The Douglas Corporation have no objection to the proposal and the Department of Transport consider that there are no adverse traffic impacts. There are no objections to the proposal.

The two window canopies and shop front sign would seem appropriate in this location as they compliment the appearance of the area and that of the property very well. Therefore my recommendation is an approval.
