In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 10 February 2006, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The Planning Committee considers the timber summerhouse is domestic in design and inappropriate in this location. Furthermore, the Planning Committee considers the applicant has not demonstrated agricultural need and therefore the summerhouse is considered to be inappropriate development in the countryside contrary to the general presumption against development within the countryside.
NOTE The building has been constructed without the benefit of planning approval and must be removed and the land reinstated as agricultural land within 2 months of the date that the decision becomes final.
NOTE This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.
