Officer's Report
The application is for the erection of an infill extension to the front porch entrance at 24 Turnberry Avenue, Onchan, which is a detached property at the end of a cul-de-sac.
The proposed infill extension has a width of 1.2 metres from the existing wall of the dwelling. The overall width is 5.85 metres. The new area will form a new toilet, extensions to the study and hallway and a new balcony at first floor level.
Onchan District Commissioners have recommended that the application should be approved. The Fire and Rescue Service recommend the installation of a mains wired interconnected domestic smoke detection. There are no objections.
The proposal would seem appropriate in this location and therefore recommend approval.
