The proposal is for the erection of a log cabin (leisure use only) to the rear of the existing side detached garage to 28 Banks Howe, which is a detached property in a residential area.
The proposed log cabin overall dimensions are a length of 6.06 metres and width of 4.4 metres, which will leave a 0.9 metre gap to the neighbouring boundary with 26 Banks Howe. The maximum height of the cabin is 2.86 metres. The cabins roof will have burnt amber metro shingles roofing.
The Onchan District Commissioners recommend approval and the department of Transport have no views on the application.
The proposal would seem appropriate in this location, as it does not have a detrimental impact on the surrounding area.
I therefore recommend approval for the proposal.
