Officer's Report
The site represents the curtilage of an existing property located on the western side of the road from Derbyhaven towards Castletown Golf Links. The property is within an area designated as Existing Residential on the 1982 Plan.
Proposed here is the replacement of an existing rear annex which presently accommodates a garage, living room and kitchen on the ground floor with a greenhouse and patio above, with a two storey structure, finished in stone. The extension will be the same height as the property to the south and
slightly higher than that to the north. There are no properties to the rear and as such the proposal will not adversely affect existing adjacent property. The garage is retained and the new accommodation on the first floor is for a day room and study.
