Officer's Report
This application relates to a large building which has been subdivided into apartments.
The proposal is to replace the existing windows with white pvc windows with external glazing bars.
SPMCE have no objection stateing that the replacements mimic the existing to a reasonable degree.
The house is not in a conservation area and the policy is that replacement windows should preferably be the same as or similar to the originals in the pattern of the glazing bars. There is already some variety in the glazing pattern in windows on this property, although the majority have small square panes. The intention is to more or less replicate the style of the glazing bars found in the majority of the windows in the house in the windows to be replaced and this is considered to be acceptable.
