Officer's Report
"Sea Horse" is an existing dwelling which sits on the southern side of Perwick Road as one approaches Fistard from Port St. Mary and turns left on entering Fistard.
The house is split level, taking account of the difference in level from front and rear. There is a large balcony at the rear and large windows throughout the house.
Proposed here is the installation of a light well in the centre of the roof, a new two storey projecting porch on the rear elevation, a new porch on the front elevation, new balconies on the rear, a spiral staircase on the outside of the rear elevation, a new window in place of a door on the front elevation, excavation at the side to accommodate access from the front half of the side elevation.
.
None of this adversely affects the appearance of the property and the next property along is some distance away 20m, to the side, separated from the site by a vacant plot.
