Officer's Report

The application seeks approval for the erection of a farm workers dwelling on land adjacent to an existing farm in Lonan.

Approval in principle for the erection of a farm workers dwelling on the site was recently granted by the approval of 04/02114. Whilst this application is not actually for the reserved matters of this earlier approval it is considered to meet the conditions attached to the approval. I am content that the current proposed development meets the conditions set down by the earlier approval in principle. Accordingly, I recommend that the planning application be approved.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This approval relates to drawing K/P/01, K/P/02, K/P/03, K/P/04 and K/P/05 date stamped the 10th May 2005.

C 3. The occupation of the dwelling must be limited to persons whose employment or latest employment is or was employed in agriculture in the Island and including also the dependants of such persons as aforesaid.

C 4. In order to minimise disturbance to birds there must be no site clearance associated with the implementation of this approval within the bird breeding season (March to July inclusive).

N 1. The Chief Fire Officer recommends the installation of mains wired interconnected domestic smoke detection.
