Officer's Report

The application seeks approval for amendments to a previous planning approval for the conversion of a former poultry shed in Maughold into tourist accommodation. The amendments comprise of an increase in roof pitch, the addition of porches, the addition of chimneys and the addition of rooflights.

The increase in pitch allows proper weathering of the roof, the addition of porches and chimneys are visual improvements and the rooflights are to increase natural light. I consider the amendments to be an improvement to the building and recommend that the planning application be approved.
