The following planning applications have been considered by the Peel Town Commissioners.
- PA 05/0024/B Amendments to approved residential development 00/02395 consisting of changed dwelling types to plots 17-26 and the addition of 2 plots, Field 3111794 and part field 311793, land of Glenfaba Road, (adjoining Cronk Reayrt, Creggans Avenue and Corrins Way), Glenfaba Road, (Clarification of address). This matter was considered at some length and members agreed to object to the proposed change of dwelling types and plots.
- PA 05/00315/B Installation of uPVC casement windows to replace existing on rear elevation, 10 Duke Street, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00327/B Installation of an additional roof light on rear elevation of Fairholme, Peveril Avenue, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00339/B Construction of a bin storage area in rear garden of Ballaraye, 5 Marine Parade, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00345/B Installation of white uPVC sliding sash windows and white uPVC traditional front door to front elevation, 26 Douglas Street, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00377/A Approval in principle for creation of an industrial/business park comprising individual units with associated infrastructure (lighting, sewage) and access to Mill Road via the former railway line, field adjacent to Total Oil Depot, Off Mill Road, Close Chairn, Peel. The Town Clerk indicated that a letter of objection had been received from Mr. Ashcroft at the Department of Transport Highways Section concerning the access route to the proposed site. It was noted that the Department would be prepared to discuss the possibility of a revised access and it was AGREED that this matter be raised with the Department in due course.

- PA 05/00385/B Proposed two mounded 20 tonne LGP storage vessels to replace six 2 tonne LPG tanks and two vaporizers to replace one and adjustment to existing gates (amendments to approved 04/01150/B, Gas Works, Mill Road, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00389/B Erection of block of four shops with four apartments over to replace previously approved health centre (PA 03/00791) land between Brickfield and Ballaquane Cottage and strip If land opposite, South of Poortown Road, running West covering north part of field 314444, 315097 and 314443, (County series 1777, 1774 and 1771), Poortown road, Peel/German, (re advertised for correction to parish location). The Board unanimously objected to the provision of an additional four shops at the Ballawattleworth Estate as this would have a significant impact on the shopping centre in the lower part of the town.
- PA 05/00466/B Erection of a steel framed industrial unit for the maintenance of motor vehicles, DTI industrial estate, Old Brickworks Yard, Mill Road, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00484/B Enlargement of side window and installation of patio doors to replace rear ground floor bay window, Greenland, 23 Albany Road, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00493/B Erection Finance Officer garage and vehicular access (via Stanley Mount), 16 Bridge Street, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00078/B Amended plans – first floor extension and window alterations to provide twenty five self contained apartments in lieu of the existing thirty bedsit units, Westlands Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00589/B Installation of replacement sliding sash windows to replace existing to front and side of Ivydene, Derby Road, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
- PA 05/00523/B Installation of new white uPVC porch to front elevation with blue panelled traditional front door, 4 St. Patrick’s View, Peel. RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
