Officer's Report

1. The site comprises the curtilage of the filling-station of "The Milestone".

1. The application proposes alterations to the car-wash area at the rear, such as to form a "jet wash" area. Two small trees would be removed. Fencing and a small "jet-wash machine" would be erected.

1. I have asked the architect to comment on

• (a) the infusion on the former railway line; and
• (b) the trees.

1. See response by e-mail of 3rd June 2005:-

• (a) all works are within land owned by the applicant;
• (b) only one hawthorn would be removed.

1. Other issues are satisfactory.
